The bonus % typically increases with each grade (how iqvia refers to levels). It varies by unit, but typically 5% each grade.
Your bonus depends on the performance of your company, business unit, org, and then team. If you assume everyone hits their targeted revenue, you get 100% of your bonus. However, if any of those parts of the hierarchy don't hit their targets, it cascades down the line to affect your bonus.
I've been here for a few years and have never received less than 80%.
Also, your performance of goals/competencies affects your bonus. Your manager has the ability to choose how to allocate bonus dollars based on the performance of your team, and typically managers choose higher performers to receive higher bonuses. With this, your bonus could be above 100% of target if all parts of the totem pole hits their target AND you also go above/beyond.
Thank you for that comprehensive explanation! Nobody gave me any information on really anything when I started and I was curious!
I must say that my first bonus was 65% of the total even when being at expectations. Last year was above 80% hopefuly will stay that way
It’s also prorated so if you didn’t join at the start of the year that’s a reason it could be less. Not sure if you included that in your calculations
I don’t think bonus target has never been met 100% ever. My bonus in my first year was 0 and I was mad as hell lol. The bonus in the following years was ok (~80%)
That’s depressing, considering my bonus is so low as it is 😂.
I’ve never received less than 100% of my bonus target. I guess it all depends on your RBU/GBU.
What does it mean 100% bonus? For example, 100% of salary (!) or for a department, if it is 100000$ for 1000 employees, then the substituted percentage provided !!!
