Doing FAR on Saturday. Tips for managing the stress of the final day, aside from cramming? Historically, that's been unhelpful for me.

Good luck!! Biggest advice is to have confidence. You studied and u got this 👍🏾

Sounds crazy but I do affirmations out loud in the mirror right before my exams to settle my nerves and hype myself up

like

Get to the exam center an hour before you normally do and just sit in your car and flip through flash cards. Guaranteed 5 point boost from throwing random info into your short term memory.

I never studied the day before a test. Not like really study anyway. My thought was if I did t know it by then I would just be stressing myself and making me second guess what I do know.

Instead I reviewed my notes on the sections I knew I was weak in. Did some mc llazily sitting on the couch. Or outside of the weather was nice! And most important I left plenty of time for oops on the way to the test. Leave with plenty of time for “things to happen” (traffic decide I need food etc. )

You got this! No luck needed 😎

I may have stayed up late af practicing simulations yesterday. Well, now I'm sweating a bit but still got a few hours left before the exam. I booked a 12:30 slot so I'll have time to eat beforehand!

Thanks!

Advice : don’t drink too much coffee

Ohhhh right, I don't have physical flash cards but iirc Becker app should have them! Thanks!

Hey Guys. Regarding the forced layoffs in PS. It’s high time we unite and hit them back. I’ll request all people who’ll receive the video connect email from PS to do one important thing. Use a a pen camera or a hidden camera(small) in your pocket before attending the call and record the call and events. These peoples should not be spared. Try to get some evidence and let’s expose to public media and other legal teams. You can do this anonymously thereby saving others from this crap.

Would you take a paycut / same salary you were making to move from NYC to Philadelphia, if the role was an industry opportunity in the tech/product space and more aligned with your interests and career goals?

Always read about people moving to industry for 20%+ increases with RSUs, but the offer for my move is about the same I'm making now in NYC. Think I will take it anyway but curious to hear the consensus view.

Just accepted an offer with a psych startup. Not exactly the offer I was hoping for as I’m taking a slight pay cut ($73/hr) and it’s a 1099 position. I keep getting stuck on the 1099 piece because I’ll be working 40 hrs/wk, but have been told I’m not eligible to be a W2 employee. Needless to say, no benefits whatsoever. They don’t even provide a computer or any other remote equipment for the completely remote position. Am I making a mistake? Also, can anyone chime in about being a 1099 employee?

I don’t see any visible damage to the system but that’s what they say and are charging me about 28k for this even though my system is in warranty period (will complete a year in a few days). Are there any workaround for this? Like I can use external keyboard or maybe negotiate, anything else?

PSA: For single folks who live alone & have 4 legged children - a morbid but logical tip my vet shared was to buy a water dispenser bowl for your pet. Reason is that if you get into a car accident or something happens to you that prevents you from getting home to them, a water dispenser should supply them w several days of water. Dogs can go 5-7 days without food, but will die after 2-3 days without water
