I am reaching out to you all and am looking forward to break into Investment Banking from Consulting. Applied to Goldman Sachs via a referral but my resume is stuck after HireVue. Talked to the VO who referred me and he said Goldman doesn’t hire in Q4. If that’s true and still need to be in GS, can someone forward my resume directly to the team? Their career portal sucks. TIA Goldman Sachs PS: I promise a dinner in a dance place in NY after I get hired as a sign of my gratitude 🙈
Hey guys. I have been applying to Amex for the past 1 year. Tried applying on the portal, through referrals and even hr consultants reached me regarding the roles since I have a relevant profile. But not once have I been shortlisted or called for an interview. What could be the problem?
PS: I have gotten calls from every other company for the same profile but not amex. Can't be a problem with the profile. Seems something dicey which I'm not aware of.American Express

I would (and did) suit up, treat it as you would any other interview. First impressions matter
I put on a suit & tie for an FDD interview last week and the partner specifically commented that they appreciated me putting in the effort even for a virtual interview.
Not sure if it mattered in the end 🤷🏼♂️
Wore shorts that mostly matched the suit incase some fluke happened and I had to stand up.
No. Usually more casual.
no tie but usually button up and suit jacket, perhaps no jacket required
I would just go with a button up shirt, should be fine.
You should definitely treat it like an in-person interview. If they don't specify that you should dress down, then you should be in a suit and tie.
