If I book a plane ticket for my family member (not a trip I’m going on) through Delta will they get my status perk (priority seats and boarding zone)?

If I book travel with my amex plat, will I still receive the benefits the amex gold skymiles card offers because I'm a cardholder? I've called amex 3 times and those window lickers don't know.
