Please evaluate this initial offer for Apple ICT3. I think I was low balled, but I want to take more opinions. Currently Sr. MTS at VMware, received Apple ICT3. I was expecting to get to ICT4 but seems like team thinks upper end of ICT3 is more apt. Also, I think it is because I don’t have any counter offers yet.

C-suite execs are just glorified professional managers (and differ from company founders who want to leave some sort of legacy). They’re recruited to take the heat for unpopular decisions (think “pain sponge”). They’re expected to show results quickly, which is why they clean house and bring on their own people — it’s the path of least resistance. They have a clear mandate and don’t expect to stay long. Not everyone can stomach getting their hands dirty, which is why there are so few of them and why they’re compensated so well. That’s really all there is to it.
60% of the time, it works every time.
Some of you haven’t seen Anchor Man, and it shows. The proper response to this would be “That doesn’t make sense.” Carry on!
People are the most expensive line item in the budget and getting rid of the old makes room for a new crew. Bonus incentives are usually tied to improving the bottom line, not so much about saving jobs.
