Isn’t Phoenix a L/M COL city - if so it’s about right.
EY1, experienced hires should ask more. They always come in at higher pay than homegrown M, if 145 is avg they should ask for atleast 165.
That’s pretty good. Plenty of managers make that in NYC
It's low. I was offered a M role at EY in Microsoft Azure/Analytics team. It was 170k base, 20k signing bonus in Denver. During interview process I was always tagged as M1. Being in CO, the salary band mentioned by law was upto 185k.
Turned it down for ZS though, who blew EY out of the water for a fully remote role.
OP, The offer didn't say it but during the interview process they always said Manager Level 1 (ML1).
Coming in as an external, you can ask for more
It's low. Anything around 160k is good.
It's an absolutely crazy market right now. Demand more.
I came in at $140k + 10k as a M2 too but that was 4 years ago in DC. So you should definitely try to negotiate more.
So you are M3 or Senior Manager now ? What skills ?
Yoe?
OP. I would ask you to negotiate and bring it close to 160k. They are investing a lot into this cloud setup; they need you more than you need them.
Run away lol
Why ?
