Hi, I'm leaving Citi in 2 months. It's hard to make this decision. I have an offer from a small startup. In citi, my previous experience was not considered and was reskilled to different tech which is the reason for change.I don't like to exit citi. As I like the company so much. But considering my current knowledge,I am in the middle of the sea.I am afraid now that the new company's offer would be revoked due to this recession?Or can I take back my resignation in citi before the last working day.Is this wise decision?

Promises made at hiring? The only promise they can give you is a signing bonus and salary, anything else about career growth is not a promise but a recommended path. Obviously you are not making partner, and it is hard as shit to make partner here from the inside. Go to a small boutique firm as a Partner and hope they get bought and you get a nice payday.
If this is what you see as the most effective platform to argue your case for admission into the partnership, I don’t think it’s the numbers or the lack of market penetration you are falling short on
McKinsey digital
Your own startup if you have balls
Not arguing my case for admission, looking for an exit to a firm with a deeper competency in the domain.
Accenture Digital or Deloitte Digital to be honest
What did they promise? I'm seeing similar circumstances in my group as well, people are jumping ship at an alarming rate lately.
We are doing very interesting work in this space especially related to data and analytics. Especially in some west coast based clients. If interested, I would be happy to have a chat.
Hmm so you are just looking to ride a wave into the partnership instead of creating one? My advice to you is to stop jumping firms trying to get lucky - work at it, and pursue your passion - the title will come.
Write a book.
That’ll be $500,000.00. You’re welcome.
I’m sorry. That’s really unfortunate. May I recommend Deloitte? We are really strong in those three areas
Partner 1 why do you care which platform OP uses to express themselves or vent frustrations?
Should OP contact you personally and ask you how they should vent about their situation? Please relax, and don t be so uptight. What does using this platform have to do with work performance or OP not getting promoted?
EY6 - You're right. I don't understand why leaders lurk in here just to make asses of those who post genuine concerns. Either have a constructive recommendation or leave us alone.
KPMG
Without disclosing too much...was on the track at a different firm that was not a good cultural fit, promise was that I'd be fast tracked at EY. While we've made good progress we haven't penetrated the market deep enough to support two partners. So, while I appreciate all the opportunity this has afforded me to grow, ultimately I am making my partners numbers for him and not seeing how this will change any time soon.
I like how you think , OP. I heard an SM was fast tracked to a Partner because he had a competing offer on the table and the only reason he would stay if he was made a Partner.
If you like what you do at EY and have a team under you that you can build further out, my recommendation would be do exactly that.
Sounds like you’re getting good experience on interesting projects?
Those are some very different types of technology.
What are some specific industries and solutions you applied those technologies to.
What was your role on those engagements?
I love the space, cannot disclose the work specifically but at a high level it is M2M with RPA taking the human out of the process flow, we elevate the operators to a new role that provides them with a digital interface which streamlines for cases which are flagged as requiring human intervention.
Nah, P1 I developed our goto market offering, my partner isn't technical enough to effectively play in this space. Yes he has relationships, but, well I do too.
