Their neighbors; Laphroaig and Ardbeg.
Definitely this, and I second Balvenie 12 (and Week of Peat 14y) & Bruichladdich PC
Some more to look into: Ardbeg Uigeadail, BenRiach Smoke Season (both under $80), also Bunnahabhain Toiteach A Dha ($90) and Highland Park 18y Viking Pride ($160) on the next shelf
Oban 14
Balvenie (although I don’t thing it’s technically that much peat)
Laphroig 12
Should have been the 10, couldn’t edit
Not as strong on the peat/smoke as Lagavulin, but Talisker 10 yr is under $80 and for the price, I like the balance of flavors including smoke.
Port Charlotte, and really most other offerings from Bruichladdich. PC is pretty accessible and won’t totally blow the budget, but is one of the best “standard” peated scotch offerings IMO

I tried a PC before i truly loved islay scotch and hated it, i should give it another try now that i’m more accustomed to it. I havent ever tried Bruicaddich I’ll give that a shot. Thanks for the help!
Kilchoman and Yoichi are solid, Highland Park also good. Personally also like JW blue and it’s always peatier than I remember.
Artbeg an OA definitely one to try.
