Firm sent me a collections email saying I owe a balance of $1000. I left in late 2020 and made sure my AMEX was zeroed out. The charges in question were from 2019 so I would’ve definitely seen any outstanding balance and paid off.

If everything was squared with AMEX what can they do? Any suggestions here?
