Hi, I belong to the corporate bowl but I have snuck in to ask if anyone would be interested in assisting the Ukranian Crisis Legal Aid organisation that has been set up by a Hungarian law firm to pair up refugees and lawyers. The website is https://ukrainelegalaid.org and it was set up by KNP LAW Nagy Koppany Lencs & Partners (who I am not affiliated with). This is all pro bono. Feel free to PM me, especially if you are English qualified!

A pay cut is almost always the case when you work remotely.
When I actually calculated all the hours I was staying extra to “help out” my hourly rate was less than what I make now though.
For more transparency I was making ~$149k/year as a PIC working retail and started making $100k / yr working remotely.
I went from working 16hr days on my feet, no lunch breaks, sometimes no restroom breaks, to working 8 hrs exactly.
I was losing my hair and my mental health was suffering and the company I work for gave me peace and treats me well.
I would be yelled at if I needed to take a sick day and now it is encouraged and my health is one of my manager’s priorities (it feels so surreal in this line of work).
Leaving retail was the best decision and my salary is going up plus I’m getting equity as well.
I went from long term care to WFH managed care and actually had a pay increase, made a lateral move in the company after 5 years with another pay increase. There will always be more money to potentially make, but at what expense to you personally? I’d 100% take a pay cut for better working conditions and a job better for my mental health.
An addendum to the above I started at $100k and I am making $130k a year now. There is always room for growth for those that work well.
What are some reputable companies offering remote positions?
What remote company is it?
I wfh now and make $172k plus a 15% bonus. I’m happy with what I’m doing.
