Friend got offer from Deloitte and EY for SAP practice, manager position. Deloitte initially offered more but EY matched it and upped their signing bonus. Suggestions ?

Deloitte offers a small pension in addition to 401k. Various analysts rank Deloitte SAP as the leader. I would go with whomever they felt was a better fit in the interview process. A few grand here/there is too short-sighted.

like

I'm a Deloitte SAP consultant right now. As we speak, we have like 95-98% capacity and almost 0 people on the bench. So our pipeline is strong and he will get utilization if that's what he is potentially worried about in terms of enough clients. Happy to provide more insight if needed.

The firm that initially valued him more $$$. Two women like you. One wants you just cause the other one likes you. Which one do you choose?

like

You're generally not going to find hot SAP consultants at manager level anywhere so..

like

Personally I'd go with whichever one has the better ass and is hotter, but I am not sure if my friend feels the same. Get your point though...

like

Deloitte has a far better SAP practice

like

Go with EY...

like

I'm in SAP, I would say go with EY. They're making plays to grow and have taken great talent away from IBM.

like

EY's SAP practice is growing but still trying to catch up with Deloitte's. Just something to consider.

like

EY still offers a small pension I believe in addition to 401k matching..

like

Deloittes 401k is a joke. What's EY offer?

like

Would avoid Deloitte for now, if possible. Let all of the rounds of layoffs fully take its course. Seen too many people hired and laid off/fired within a year. With that said, D is strong in SAP.

like

Deloitte 5 - how can you have 95 percent capacity and no one on the bench?

like

Any sap consultants from either firm care to share your thoughts? Thank you FB fam

like

They are all the same. Go with who ever gives you more money

like

Deloitte SAP is much more mature and still growing rapidly

like

Not true KMPG1. A larger practice has more exposure to bigger clients, more challenging/interesting projects, possibly better training, and a bigger network of SAP professionals.

like

Deloitte' pension doesn't go into affect until year 4! And then u get like 50 bucks...not worth it. You have to make PPED in order for the pension to be anything of value

like

EY can win all the awards but Gartner is really the one that matters.

Capability and talent, head to head, Deloitte is the better SAP firm and has superior biz intelligence solutions.

I've worked for both and Deloitte just has better talent.

like

So I went with EY over the other big four. If EY is less mature that equates to higher chance to succeed and help grow and mature the organization. You can always go back to D should you chose to. Culture at EY is definitely friendlier and better

I have an opportunity outside of healthcare that would pay more and challenge me in new ways that I haven’t experienced before. It’s a total shift that would really heal my work-life balance, job satisfaction and budget. My only fear is that I would not be using the license and degree that I worked so hard for. I'm not hung up on PE/buy side exits, not closed off but nbd. Would be just as happy to stay and make MD (or exit into corp dev if I want an easier life when I'm older)

My dilemma:

I'm at a LMM investment bank. Can get crazy sometimes, but otherwise chill. Typically done around 7-9 pm, had maybe three 1 am nights. Haven't worked a weekend in over a month. Fridays almost always done at 5 pm.

Have an offer at a reputable MM bank but probably pretty sweaty. Worth the move?
