Go ahead and ask for that additional week of PTO.

It's something my companies have always said yes to, with no hesitation. Plus your PTO most likely won't change until you get those tenure increases (5 years, 10 years...) so DO IT. The worst thing they can say is that it's against company policy to change PTO policy for 1 person.

Notice Period question please. After being in the same company for 8yrs & experiencing burnout in the last 2 years, I’d like to make sure I take a month’s break before jumping into my next role. Esp as I havent taken more than 2 days off at a time this year (max. 3 times/Long weekends).

What’s the best way to go about it? Should I give my exact notice period & negotiate start date, or share my notice period with a “buffer”?

I have a recruiter call with google and one of the potential questions would be to provide salary ranges. Am I required to provide this info , being that the market is different on my location preferences (Chicago, Austin or Atl)?

Having an Interview this week, and don't know how high I should set my salary expectations. I currently earn 24k/annum base + comission. Would it be unreasonable to say that I have 30k + comission atm? I think it also hardly depends on the location, I am currently working from Poand but would be working for a swiss company.

I’ve been with them for a year and a half. I started at 50k and now make 63k. I am a full-cycle sales manager…the company does not believe in the use of BDRs. There’s no opportunity for growth. So I just got a written job offer for a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer position. The offer was $142k, with a $10k signing bonus.

It is a little bit lower than what a few other people I know have gotten over the past few weeks in similar positions. I want to counter the offer but I want to make sure I'm not going so high that they balk and walk away. Knowing that others have gotten $145k and a $15k bonus, how high would be too high in a counter offer? Is $150k too much to ask?

I gave a salary range to a couple recruiters for digital consulting positions and am not sure if it was relatively close to market value or not. Would you think this (admittedly wide) range is high, low, or reasonable? Any advice is appreciated!

- Both roles are for boutique digital consulting firms in Chicago
- Consultant 1 positions requiring 3-5 years experience
- My range: $100k-$120k base
- I have 4 yrs experience, 2 of which in a BA/Product owner role (non b4 accounting firm)
