My creative marketing agency, Codeword, is hiring account people! Senior Account Managers, an Account Director, and Account Managers. We work with tech clients like Google, Linktree, Qualcomm, and others. The agency has about 80 employees, but is owned by a much bigger parent company so the benefits are great! Most of the roles are based in NYC but we also have offices in San Francisco and Salt Lake City.

Message me if you have any questions and I can possibly refer you!

How valuable is the AWS cloud practitioner and AWS solution architect certifications if I’m coming from a consulting role where it wasn’t applied much practically, even though company is Health IT . I have a high technical aptitude but I’m wondering how much weight do they hold as far as new opportunities if I haven’t used them in work but understand them well enough to speak through the information and pass the certs. Any insight is helpful only been in a consulting 1.5 yr and want to expand

Possibly unpopular opinion: SM platforms should have an age restriction. I see SO many teens struggling with mental health issues because of the skewed images and viewpoints they see online. Thoughts? Anyone else shocked and enraged by this?

My husband and I have a huge combined family. They are also...well...loud. By loud I mean, laughing, debating, talking, all in good cheer. But sometimes arguments can erupt, and there's really no shortage of entertainment and sometimes drama. We're having a smaller gathering this year and wondering what's the best way to navigate all things COVID and health - we love to be close, hug, etc but I know everyone has different comfort levels and I want to be gracious and appease. What's your expert opinion? #QA

Are there any good networking groups?

I found an Austin young professionals group, but it’s almost entirely realtors and loan people. Which is fine, but I’m looking for more typical networking professionals groups.

I liked the Project management institute, but I’m looking for more. Either General professional, finance, tech, or healthcare focused ones would be ideal.

Currently make $175k as a newly promoted Manager in big city and have an offer for a Project Manager role at a huge retailer for $120k but in very low COL city (where I have a house and want to live long term). Law firms are for-profit business, so why do they seem to care more about how many years you’ve been there rather than how much money/business you generate/bring in? If an attorney has only been with a firm for a few years but generates more business and money for the firm than someone who has been there ten years, why shouldn’t they be paid more and be promoted above the attorney that has been there longer? Am I the only one who thinks this is distorted?

Not everyone is a good listener.

Most people have a habit of listening to find a way to relate your story to their lives and then tell you how it relates.

A small percentage of people will listen to you, show empathy, find ways to help you, cheer you on, and overall, keep the focus on you and your needs.

Next time you have a conversation, find out who's really listening to you.

Currently working as an LPC-R in Virginia and am quickly burning out with my current employer. Does anyone have any ideas of what a resident therapist can do ASIDE from traditional clinical counseling? I’m testing for licensure in a few months and have been looking for opportunities such as teaching, training, or other positions in which I’d be working directly with people in some capacity.

Question regarding RSUs : What happens to the grant of shares if the price goes up ? Say u r given 100K worth over 4 yrs, n if let’s say Yr 1 & 2 it’s 100$/share n Yr 3 is 200, Yr 4 is 250, so do the number of shares u get go down ?
Before signing 100K worth shares = 1000 shares
After the rise :
Yr 1 : 250 shares (25% of 100K/100$ a share)
Yr 2 : 250 shares
Yr 3 : 125 shares (25K/200)
Yr 4 : 100 shares (25K/250) for a total of 725 shares instead of 1000 at signing.

Looking for some advice. Have been making good money the last few years (85-105k) with last year being really good (~140k) due to promotions and COVID retention bonuses etc. Catch was I had a lot student debt and a car loan I was paying down really aggressively in addition to 401k savings.
