As a result of #metoo, it was revealed that now a lot of male supervisors and councillors are refusing to train/guide their female juniors. Most of them don't want the hassle of being accused of sexual harassment.
What are your thoughts on this?

I will say ugly. I have been with a M of opp gender for a very long time. I'll say it is always a big disadvantage. An ex - I got the best rating from a M and that M left. The M who replaced him/her reduced my rating to avg in a span of 2 months. I observed same partiality on the awards front also. I was not given any award because I never use to indulge in the nonsense which the new M started, but those who bootlicked and agreed to everything received awards and very good ratings.This is just 1 ex. I have seen others face this situation too.
Over 10 yrs of work across 4 firms, I had 2 female managers. Both the female managers were among the best ppl I have worked with and learnt a lot from them.
I had the opportunity to work with some of the best male managers as well.
I strongly believe that it boils down to ppl and gender hardly plays a role
