Got a job offer with SAP testing at EY— i know a lot of people hate on testing but i just really need to specialize in something to make and increase in salary and meet financial goals. Is SAP testing/ testing in general something that will continue to grow? Looking for honest career path feedback

Go for it. U have a offer. U can think of specialization later. A role does not end ur career. U will find several opportunities. Dnt kno where this one can take u. Keep ur eyes n ears open for new experiences n u will know eventually what u want to do and take ur career

OnPrem or cloud?

Echoing A1, you may want to figure out more about the role and make sure it will have a strong trajectory with everything going cloud based at a rapid speed.

Why do you feel such an urge to specialize ASAP? Being completely honest, picking a specialization without knowing why can hinder your career path. Sure, maybe short-term bandaid for your needs, but doesn’t sound healthy in the long run

Is this as a tester or management? My impression is there are a lot of job opportunities (as long as you keep up skills) but would hit a pay ceiling that could be much lower than other areas of consulting.

Curious what they offered you for this role? I was looking into it but never heard back

Hi all, negotiating with HR on salary for a new AS position and want to know what’s fair. I was an AE for two years, took a promotion at another agency for SAE for only 8 months and am now being recruited for AS at 80k. All of my agencies have been large, I’ve worked on pharma and a large global account, I also started “managing” at the AE level due to my team’s structure. Is $80k fair? Thanks!

How possible is it to build a US-based career doing global public sector work while not being in New York or DC?

Currently a Manager at Accenture in Public Sector. Living in a progressive US city with a few direct flights to Europe, but definitely not New York or DC. PhD in public affairs. Actually I'm on the hiring roster for a P3 role at the UN.

Considering some life choices that would keep me living where I am though. Debating if this would kill hope of global work.
