Got a verbal offer from FAANG and just 2 rounds of negotiations have been going on for the past 3 weeks. Its like each round goes on for 10 days... Recruiter keeps saying he doesnt know when the comp team will get back. Is this normal? I cant wait for all this to get over and look at the formal written offer letter

So I’m in industry from big 4, and a colleague with same yoe comes from MBB. High paying tech firm. I think I work harder and produce quality content at speed, but they can hold executive conversations that tend to impress senior stakeholders.

Big 4 produces work horses and MBB produces leaders. Also they could be a work horse too since I don’t have full visibility.

How would you go about pricing your equity in an early stage startup offer? Have two offers right now with different comp components and trying to compare across both to make a decision / negotiate the offers. Current comp ~280-300k TC, 4 YOE

1) Head of Strategy & Ops with 275K Cash Comp + 0.25% equity @ a Series A startup (N-1)

2) Head of Product with ~350k TC (All cash, Base + Bonus) @ a Global Bank (N-1 within the BU)

What offers were/are you getting with 2-3yrs of experience?

All the offers I've seen or ranges I've discussed with recruiters have been much lower than what I'm currently making (95k, HCOL) so not sure what to expect
