they wont flatten. those in between levels are made up by HR/execs to give a sense of accomplishment and keep people
I feel hierarchies are archaic in today’s world. Consulting firms should flatten further
We are not an Indian company - we are a spin-off of Arthur Andersen. Most of the executive team is still OG from Andersen. The culture is incredibly chill compared to big 4. expectations are also a lot lower but that means it’s easy to shine if you’re used to the big 4 pace. Projects are also much smaller and shorter than you may be accustomed to.
Too lazy to change my title on FB - I am a manager here at Protiviti and I would say the expectations of an SM at Protiviti are equivalent to the Manager level at Accenture. If I was you I would bargain for an associate director role here if you’re an experienced SM.
Hi...I came from Accenture so I can compare to that. It’s the same as Accenture’s hierarchy but there are a lot more levels between senior manager and managing director. Consultant >senior consultant > manager > SM > associate director > director > managing director. are you a director at EY?
@SC1 I am a senior manager at EY. How do you find the work culture?
The culture is very laidback but some people also say it’s pretty “fratty” because it’s so laid back. Some people work very hard but sometimes there are people who don’t put in their fair share
Isn’t that an Indian company ?
Thanks everyone this was helpful
