Sounds like a staff attorney attorney gig. You’re doing doc review and discovery objections for associates making considerably more than you. Plenty of people choose it though.
Word limit kept it short. It’s not in a big city office. I’m in a pretty specialized area which they say needs expansion in our state. Certainly hasn’t been presented as a staff attorney-type job.
I get 20+ recruiters reaching out a week about opportunities with GREAT work-life balance. Either the whole industry is suddenly working casual hours or (more likely) its an easy lie.
I’d be careful.
In my experience every firm bragging about its WLB has been straight-up lying. Firms that have it don’t flaunt it and you can pick it up by the tone of your interviewers and how stressed they seem (or don’t seem).
