Hi, folks I am working as market research analyst at a startup company for last 9 months. Currently I am feeling work is kinda boring and also there is no scope for growth and learn new things in the company. Is it's better work at the same company to gain some experience or leave company and join MBA course so that I will get better placement in big companies where I can learn new things.

Trust your instincts, you know your family conditions and your environment. Hiring freeze is at all over the companies. Take your decisions wisely.
Till when you think this hiring freeze will continue?
For anyone willing to take a break. I suggest 2-3 things. First. Financial aspect, make sure you set aside the funds you have that you think you need for the next year and earmark 3 months of it and use only that even while you are working and don't touch other funds at any cost except in case like medical emergency, as that will truly evaluate if you are really financially ready. Second, see if it's a technology thing or something else - because if you are going to be investing on something, you should really get the benefits out of it. Sometimes people spend on expensive courses and stuff and then up continuing in what they are doing, my own friends and colleagues have done that, so make sure you have clearly decided what you want. Third, if it's the company or IT culture then how do you say tech change will help you?
Well in that case, medical break might be the only way. I don't know how tcs works, but generally big companies are supposed to allow you to move internally after completing 2 years in the project on an average. But i guess it boils down to the guy in charge.
Looking at current situation I would not recommend to give it all for switch and resign before any offer. Many people posts that their offer got rescinded and sometimes it takes months to release an offer. So, just to be on much safer side and 0 risks try working less and prepare for switch with job in-hand as situations don't look bright for resigning currently without any offer.
why are you working for 12 hours daily... companies like TCS are not even paying anything close to the amount they are billing from client for employees. If you are this much frustrated and ready to resign just stop doing extra work. If you stoo working you will easily get release
I have been through the same, and yes i too am inclined/hardwired to help, hence i totally get you.
But after my initial years, i have learnt to balance it out and thanks to my experience in my tech (18 yoe), i am able to finish my own work pretty easily and also it's a much cooler project than my initial few. So even after helping others, i have time left.
If you are set to resign then work inly 9hrs and devote time for study.

Just trying to understand what is the reason for technology change when your wlb is impacted at current organization. Are you single? In the current situation, i would suggest you to think twice before taking any decision. If you are burnt out, you also have an option to take long leave or vacation and see if that helps.
Hang in there bro. Wish you the best 👍
How are you planning to show a gap during the switch and new tech experience? They are not going to consider you as a fresher obviously!
I agree. Haven't thought much about it. I'm just so mentally exhausted I haven't given it much thought. I'm really good at what I do. I just hope I'll spend the time wisely and get good at the new technology. I'm not too bothered about the salary I would get initially. Looking for hands on experience primarily.
Before you make a dicision to quit, make sure you have planned for uncertainties also. Have you taken then health insurance and term plan for you and your family. Just saving a year worth of money is not enough. As we have all seen what covid did to everyone. Those who had not done some planning ended up selling everything they had. So my suggestion is to make sure you invent in future for next 6 months if you not already done and then make a move. Give this 6 months in learning. Who is asking to give 12 hours to work. Just don't work and put that time to learn.
Thanks. Those are some good suggestions. I'll take it into consideration.
Current tech stack? and why not look for a switch with same tech stack?
Never go all in, considering it’s risky out there. Good you have some saving. Break your goals into milestone level goals on what you plan to achieve in next 3/6 months. If you’ve leaves, I would recommend to start using those. Or some medical reason.
Btw. What do you plan to study?
Considering current market conditions it's not a good time to take a break. Most of the reputed mnc's are doing hiring freeze and layoffs. I would suggest to do the quite quitting, since you are in TCS you don't need to bother much on layoffs.
Just resign and use the 3 month notice to study. Minimal work(Since you have given extra time at work, recovering it shouldn't feel morally wrong as well). Just imagine what's the worst they can do to you when you have already resigned?
But do that only if you are ready to go all in and have enough savings and minimal liabilities.
