Feel them feelings! Get it out then reset with a new plan. For starters focus in on roles instead of going after everything. It’ll allow you to really focus on tailoring for a specific role. Right now you’re casting a wide net so the echoes of silence ring louder. Harness the growing frustration and be human. I’d reach to an HR for a given role or if you know an HR from a previous role and explain the lack of response. Maybe someone from the other side of the situation can give you tips on a more affective approach. Lastly, with the election, interest rates dipping, and budgets for ‘25 rolling out there is bound to be a bump in opportunities albeit no one knows how small or large it will be. Networking is key! Reach out to HR or someone within that sector on LinkedIn and ask if they would be willing to chat with you :)
Show them your stuff by coming up with something that will grab their attention. They want to hire people who know how to make brands famous, so you might as well start with a killer case study of you.

maybe instead of being a jack of all trades, you could be a master of one. if you want to do advertising you could put together a portfolio, possibly join a program to help.
I feel you. But buck up. 60, although that is legitimate… Isn’t really a lot. There have been times when I have applied to 200+ positions and only got one or two bites. perhaps someone else has given you this advice, but if you apply through LinkedIn, and you can learn who the hiring manager is, send them a note through LinkedIn. Just introduce yourself. This might be a LinkedIn premium feature, I’m not sure. But if you don’t have LinkedIn premium, that’s one good reason to get it.
I’d get off of linked in. And go to under utilized sites. There’s a lot of small businesses that need help

Same boat. Cold applying is worthless (essentially). Email one person in your network a day letting them know that you’re looking and what you’re looking for.
Keep pushing, you might be one application away from a great role!

Going through the same thing. 125 applications, 23 rejections, some interviews, dead end because they are moving in a different direction, the other I was ghosted. I am now remaking my entire portfolio hoping that will help. So exhausted.

Hey there - I work as a multimedia specialist at a Marketing Agency. I'm pretty much a faceless content creator just under a different name. I do a lot of the same functions you do, especially heavy on the research/planning, production, and editing for social media and other kinds of web media that \ other marketing services require (video ads, hero videos, testimonials, product/lifestyle, etc.) I don't run accounts or schedule posts as part of my job though. I just create and hand it off.
Is the account management a dealbreaker for you?
If not, try looking at 'Multimedia' Roles. There's a lot of overlap, and I read recently that job posts for it have increased by 11% this year. Also seems to pay better than 'SM Creator' jobs, especially in industries where those skills are rare (tech, biomedical, academia, etc.)
When I got hired, I had never heard of a 'multimedia specialist' before but I could do everything they were hiring for as a photographer/videographer with a related degree.
They said the #1 thing that said made them hire me over others is because my experience and portfolio demonstrate I understood the CONTEXT of broader marketing to guide my approach to creating media
.I didn't apply to this job, but I had their HR manager on LinkedIn. Every time I made major changes to my portfolio, I sent it to him. He never replied but he remembered me when he posted the job, and called me.

I gave up too. I realized spending my time making youtube videos and just going after brand deals is far more promising than applying to jobs.
I graduated college in 2010. I’ve worked at Netflix, meta, WB and I’ve never held that job longer than 2-4 years. I’ve been laid off at every single one of those positions because my dept was let go or budget cuts. I have no idea what job security feels like.
I feel like the people who get these middle management and c-level positions don’t get them from applying online. They get them from referrals.
Based on my experience, I should be a VP at any of these companies. And I’ll never experience it cause I’m not taking a pay cut again only to get laid off a few years later.
I don’t know if this real for other millennials but just know it’s a privilege to have a corporate job. Have benefits. Have health insurance have a savings because a lot of us will never experience that or don’t experience it in our working lifetime so I’m always on the hustle always on the grind because it’s always been a gamble trying to find an employer that cares more about their employees then the stakeholders at these bigger corporations.
So my advice is to figure out how to make money off of what you like to do instead of spending your time applying for jobs that probably will lay you in 2 to 4 years after you’ve gotten it. Or at least set yourself up to make passive income.
Keep your chin up.
Stop applying (or rather find other avenues that aren’t pitching you against 1000 other candidates).
IG, Twitter, emails direct, events. Try widening that net, rather than going insane through that one platform.
One other thought. Sometimes the ambiguity of wanting to do anything can be a turn off for employers. They want to hire somebody with the ambition and intention to do that specific job. Otherwise they risk losing you very quickly, because it’s not what you wanted to actually do… you just didn’t know it at the time.
