Yes, I went technical after Program Management. I moved forward into ServiceNow.
Sure
Technical seems like a better bet. I'd rather go for a Scrum Master than a PMP (and I have a PMP so can tell you it's too old school, I appreciate agile more now). Cloud knowledge will help greatly (AWS courses). It's never too late to get more technical and it is needed greatly even if it is more surface level knowledge of different technologies!
Get to know cloud basics (ACP, GCP, etc), AI/ML basics and understanding of the new age tech architecture supporting the digital transformations. You will need that in either case. After that you can make a choice.
Bowl Leader
Yep, I agree. Learn some cloud basics and also scrum/agile. There are solution owner type roles which could help in the salary dept. i think switching to a hands on tech/arch role might be a stretch unless you love tech and will live it 24/7.
There are some pretty good jobs for people that can deliver technical projects without being hands on.
Why not go into product management
