Got an offer from Guidehouse as a senior consultant in HIA back in January. The recruiter is MIA and not coming up with joining date and giving reasons like other PRoject team was put on bench and they will be allocated first before giving joining dates to the new hires. What should I do...if the recruiter comes back with the joining date. Should I join? What is the business situation at Guidehouse right now?
For Accenture employee - does this company paid you when you are the bench? Does this company has experience manager? Does this company has Up or Out system? Need certification to be a manager?
Need advice for resigning while on bench. I already have a start date with the new employer. Should I do a traditional two week notice or give <=1 week notice instead? My goal is to not burn bridges, but I also don’t want to get let go on the spot since I have nothing to “wrap up” besides HR tasks. I’ve read on here that sometimes they will let you go day of and pay you out for two weeks but I don’t see why any firm would do that for somebody not currently performing billable work...
Has anyone utilized Worthy Bonds. Apparently the bonds are secured by the small businesses inventory they loan to. Right now my HYSA is about 1% and they are offering 5%.
I’m 2.5 weeks out of training and haven’t been utilized to the full extent. I haven’t been staffed and rarely have been asked to complete smaller one-off projects. Who should I talk to? MD? Associate? Other analysts? Broader question is ‘how do I ask for work?’

For utilization, if the denominator is fixed to 2080 (40 x 52), there is no way you can be a 100% utilized even if you're staffed throughout the year and bill 8 hours per business day?
I was curious what other firms have set as their utilization goals for their different positions? Currently, everyone from staff to senior manager has a set goal of 90%.
Anyone else notice the spikes in BTC and ETH at the exact moment the federal government shutdown? Bad for my utilization (I’m federal) great for my portfolio
1st time on the bench in 3 years. Check out demand portal: "wtf is this shit?" No wonder everyone is unstaffed and getting the boot.
How much is utilization factored into raises?
I have some extra utilization. Does it automatically roll over to the next performance year or do I have to let someone in Talent know?

I’m trying to book a rental car with National for a personal trip using EY discount. It doesn’t give me the option to elect it as a leisure trip in the app like Hertz does. Any insights on this?
There’s a position I want to apply to at a different company, and it seems like it would fit me perfectly. I went on LinkedIn and saw that there’s one person from my undergrad school that works there with a similar title for the job I want. How do I reach out to him and how much is too much? Do I ask for advice on getting the job/how the job is/ a referral? Should I even reach out?
Best SPG property to stay in London?
I really wish it were possible as a Senior to take a "quiet" or remote day every week and focus on work uninterrupted. I get that it would be a challenge for staff/mgrs but think it would be worth it.
I currently work in a hybrid sales/marketing role. However, I would love more experience in marketing specifically so I can move in to a marketing specific role. Does anyone have a suggestion of books or articles, podcasts, organizations to follow that will allow me to stay up to date on the latest trends but also help prepare for a marketing centric role? Thank you
Serious question. What baby items are most expensive? (other than diapers, formula, college education, nanny.. Etc)
My boss treats me like his secretary. I’m the only woman on the team, and he makes me handle HIS expense report twice a month, all the new hire onboarding, and just about anything he thinks his male employees are too busy to do. I’m a seasoned IT professional with two decades of experience and can code in 15 different languages. This frustrates me to no end but the exposure I’m getting to new tech skills is amazing so I can’t just walk away! Suggestions on how I can get him to respect me?!
Has anyone found value in the “Josh Bersin Academy” membership? They are offering 20% off an annual subscription so my interest is piqued.
How to convince friends that chase or Amex cards are just greater than any other card. I don’t get why people all just don’t have the CSR if they spend any sort of money. Literally pays for itself and then some

Hello! I have a two part question: 1) is it worth it to obtain an SHRM specialty credential if I don’t have the broader SHRM certification? 2) has anyone gotten the People Analytics or Talent Acquistion credential? If so, how valuable was it from a learning perspective? Do you feel it significantly contributed to your knowledge in either area? Thank you!
