Curious what other international sales engineers make? Been with my company 8 years (it was my first “big kid job” and I’ve put-survived my last 3 bosses to firing/quitting. I’ve also inherited all their sales duties and went from a sales team of 2 to 4 to 3 and now just me! I make $75K plus $25K at target. Target was set when there was myself & two managers. I’ve hit target against all odds.

My partner has a trip planned that we’ve all been prepping for (first time either of us have left the others in our toddler’s lifetime). Now I’m sick and feeling anxious to be alone with our toddler, who might also be getting sick. This trip is one that probably won’t happen again, so I don’t feel like I can ask him to stay, but how do I ask other people for help without getting them sick?

BURNED OUT MOM! And sad to say it. 😔 I have a 2.5 years old boy and a 6 months old baby girl. The boy is becoming so so stubborn. I feel like his daddy and I are doing something wrong. He used to be way more behaving and generally a sweet boy said the daycare and neighbors. I know he is a good fella. Could this be just a phase?! It's worth mentioning both his dad and I are going through stressful times at work.

I found out I am ~ 5.5 weeks pregnant after I missed my periods and through blood tests. Few days back I had sore breasts and stomach cramping.

Although I still have cramping but the breast soreness has reduced a bit.

Should I be worried? I have ultrasound scheduled this Friday!

My child born F says he feels like a boy. I asked what makes him feel like a boy and he couldn’t answer. I’m very open I think and try to support him as much as possible to the point his name has been change in school and I try to use the male name as much as I’m capable of. But I can’t help to think he is not a he…. I wonder if he feels confuse because how strong, independent he is and he thinks females might be weak? Anyone going thru anything similar?

I am currently covering for someone on paternity leave. This means I've doubled the Sales Managers I'm supporting as well as the clients I'm supporting. I don't mind doing the work but I'd like to ask to be compensated for the increased workload. Has anyone done this? If so, how did you go about it? I had a miscarriage at work and one partner had to take me to the ER as I was bleeding heavily. He asked if he can tell another partner I’m close with because he is away starting Monday and wants someone at work to know and be there for support. I wouldn’t mind in principal but a bit worried about being baby tracked. Not by the other partner but if word got out and other partners find out. But also I could really use some support as I have some work files I need someone to help cover. Thought?

My firm has not announced any raises yet even though the market has gone up (A LOT) and firms in the area all have done so. I’ve decided to demand a raise to the compensation committee. But struggling to come with a number. I’m class of 2014 but have gone on four maternity leaves 😂. Any suggestions????

Every time I have been discouraged in my career, it’s been by a fellow woman. A professor told me that I wasn’t “strong enough” to be in my career path, multiple female managers have bullied me, and when seeking a sponsor for career growth, my women leaders were the voices telling me I wasn’t ready or was too different. However I can think of plenty of men that have endorsed me. Is this a common experience among female professionals/leaders on their way up or was my experience anomalous?

What would you do in my situation...
Take a job that is paying significant less than previous salary, potential good work environment & manager, but stuck in hometown I have been trying to leave for 3 years now, no real career growth unless I leave in a year
Take a job that is paying more ($30K more), confirmed potential boss is severely toxic, department has high turnover rates, finally would get to move to NYC which has been my goal, could potentially open doors..

I have joined lti as a lateral.
After joining they have asked me to collect laptop from office. When i went, the laptop was not in a great condition and was refurbished. I am guessing it was used almost 3 to 4 years before me.

I asked them for a new laptop and they said they dont have new laptop in stock, i even checked with my manager she said she is also using refurbished laptop so no problem.
