Has anybody noticed a disparity between the salaries that people report on Fishbowl versus the ones you find in the real world?

Looking at the salaries in the Real Agency Salaries spreadsheet for senior copywriters in NYC, most are in the 100-110k range, which aligns with what I’ve heard talking to recruiters.

But on Fishbowl people report salaries 130k+ for the same role.

I’m making 120k as a senior, which to my understanding was the high end of what a senior makes — or is it not?

Has anyone ever asked to renegotiate their salary after starting a job? I’m 2 months into my new job and I have far more responsibilities than what I was told. It’s a lot different than what was relayed in the posting and during the interviews. Additionally, they hired my counter part in as a senior manager which is at least $30k more than what I make. My peer has more experience so I expect that but I feel that I should be paid more, however I don’t want to leave a bad impression… any advice?

currently tossing up between staying at a global company (who is in the process of some positive changes) with an amazing manager who supports my career and flexible working … however comes with the inherit issues that come with a long standing global company

compared with a role at a smaller mga, higher salary (around 30%) more , more visibility career wise and some great employee benefits , management seem to be supportive and low staff turnover
