Has anyone else noticed how “temporary” positions in entertainment seem to last years? I’ve been a “temp” coordinator for over 18 months, still paid hourly with no benefits, no title bump, and no clear end date in sight. The company keeps saying, “We’re evaluating staffing needs,” but I’m basically doing a full-time role without any of the security. It’s exhausting living in limbo. At what point do you just walk away?

I’m currently in the process of being converted from contractor to permanent. In my initial conversations I was under the impression that I was in a different pay grade and asked for a salary 25k higher than the max allotted for my position. I feel like it gave the impression that I don’t know what I’m doing. Any suggestion how I can recover from this?

My TC has fluctuated (currently around 135K CAD), but it seems like it's relatively easy to breach the 100K bar, but hard to breach the 150K bar. What is considered a “large” caseload in employment litigation? I work at a large L&E boutique law firm and handling about 14-15 active litigation cases in state/federal court or arbitration. Some of these matters are multi-plaintiff and multi-defendant cases, but none are class actions. This does not include any matters I am handling in the charge stage or in pre-litigation.
