Has anyone ever been able to pivot from corrections officer to another career? I kind of fell into this after having a tough time in college, and I'd like to see what else is out there. What job would use some of the same skills as a corrections officer, but isn't policing/defense/incarceration work?

What certifications can I earn to increase my market value coming out of college? I’m graduating with a marketing and digital applications co-major and I have 2 HubSpot certs (Digital Advertising and Social Media Marketing) + relevant internships. I’m just trying really hard to get over 50K in Indianapolis (I sincerely can’t afford to accept anything lower) and being a new grad seems to REALLY be working against me no matter what I do. Currently work in-house for a luxury house of fashion brands in NYC and want to make a move to a law firm focused on media, entertainment, technology. I am open to all sizes so long as the firm is highly rated and reputable.

They offer two options: the “traditional” course (which lasts around 2.5 months) and an extended 6-month course. The difference in price is substantial – 2.5k for the traditional course vs 6k for the extended one. Any thoughts/recommendations on which one I should take? Question for ex-consulting (esp MBB) folks who landed up at Google - are you happy with the decision you took? Why / why not? I'm an MBB Consultant with an offer for a role in Strat Ops in another country. Also evaluating a similar role in a fast growing, publicly lister SaaS company closer to home - faster growth, more flex to work remotely. Want to understand if consulting folks are happy with Google overall, despite a potentially slower / more open ended growth path.
