Yeah, I wouldn’t worry - obviously you can call a vet but usual toxicity is much higher than a 2x dose. maybe some mild GI issues ?
Yeesh why did you post on here instead of calling a VET!?!
1- would have to go in to talk to a vet, idk where you live but I can’t just “call” and ask medical questions.
2- I am assuming I’m fine as I did some quick google searches and it was a week apart, but wanted to see if anyone else experienced this. I don’t want to pay $500 for a middle of the night emergency vet visit if I don’t have to.
3- in calling the vet this morning (they were closed when I posted this last night, as I posted at 8:30pm)

Call an emergency vet and ask them. I haven't that one, but I did another medication and what I gave them could have been a problem so they had us induce vomiting and watch him.
Not sure how big your dog is but a lot of those meds, if you look at the dosages, just double for each weight increment so a 53lb dog can get 2x as much as a 50lb dog anyway. You’re probable fine but always good to chat with a vet. My vet had definitely been open to a phone consultation for a couple questions and for a cut that I knew we wouldn’t be stitching (it was her second time needing bc antibiotics for a cut 🙃🙃🙃) but they had me email a photo and then just gave us a script to pick up (which my husband could do on his way home without the dog). So if you’re ever unsure, it never hurts to call and ask. Also, if you have pet insurance or anything, you can sometimes get access to a “televet” for free depending on your plan/insurer.
Thank you!
