IBM iX vs Accenture Interactive?
Hi Fishes, I grabbed an offer at Accenture with 12 LPA fixed for Level 9. I'm not getting a retention offer from my current company at 13.5 lpa. How do I go about a counter offer with Accenture HR? Also tell me how to approach this situation smoothly.
If HR doesn't fulfill the counter offer, is it ok to accept 12 lpa fixed for Level 9 and when will I get a hike here and how much would it be approximately?
Accenture Please provide your insights. This is my first switch so I ne more exposure
I just hit $200k NW and it’s been 7 months since I made my post (link below) about hitting $100k NW in Dec ‘21.
I’m just mind-blown since it took me 2.5 years to get the first $100k and it’s snowballed from there. I’ve gone from $82.5k TC to $238k TC plus a $20k appreciation on a house I bought at the beginning of the year
Can’t really talk about finances with friends/family so this is the only place I can share milestones like this haha…we’ll see if I can hit $300k by EOY

Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

The core business is Executive search, CEO succession planning, Board composition, c-suite assessment, etc. Different strategies to the firms highlighted above. E.g. KF a different animal from RRA. Margins are better than traditional mgmt consulting firms (yes, including tier 1, from which I came). SS is a great firm if you’re speaking with them.

Also what do they do? Can't tell from these online descriptions. Looking for details
Comp is very strong. Top performers (top quartile) within a given cohort can make over 2x peers. Average to 2nd quartile performers in line with traditional consulting, big law, banking.
It’s a head hunting company not a consultancy. Most of the work these types of firms do are more like sales than anything. Good commission based upside if you have an extensive professional network that you can tap into to build a book of business.
No not a staffing agency, they place c-suite executives. Ivy League connections provide a good network to draw candidates and potential business from.

SA - They are a recruitment consultancy. Google them, and Google articles about the top levels of the recruiting industry. Much has been written. The junior job is finding good candidates for roles - mostly by LinkedIn searching, networking, cold calling and taking to them. The senior job is selling recruiting services to senior corporate execs.

SA, kindly, all work is grunt work (even being a partner). Thats why they call it “work”.
