Does Natwest bank pay as competitive as Morgan Stanley Deutsche Bank. I mean Associate in MS and DB ranges from 20 to 30 lakh. However when I tried applying to Natwest expecting 40% hike (30 lpa) on current pay of 21 lakh. They straightway rejected me and said its not in their budget. Is there any financial firm which can pay as competitive to Mumbai banks. Barclays Deutsche Bank Natwest group BlackRock

Hello! Anyone work at GE Healthcare?
Move dilemma:
Currently @ Arthur D. Little Limited Dubai as SE Manager w/ base comp of 285k $ + 10-15% bonus. Vert limited fit w/ people & projects in the region (MEI) & not motivated by seniors. Not happy w/ the job but good WLB. Very likely to promote to Pr which would include a 20-30% jump in total comp but shift to more variable
Move to MBB as PL. Projects & people are supposed to be great and he could see himself in the long run. Comp is 170k $ + 60% bonus. Will take 1.5y to move to Pr

Had somewhat of similar situation and never regretted it. I needed out of consulting though and went back to industry for a role I thought I would love (and mostly did). I’ve pivoted slightly again to a different internal role and I don’t think I’ve ever been happier in my entire career.
I turned down a ~$30k retention bonus and $20k+ pay increase for my career change but have made up the difference in pay since.
I get to do work that is exactly what I want to be doing in an environment that is healthier and have zero travel.
Most importantly, because I work less and no longer travel 240+ nights/year, my marriage is healthier and we were able to start a family.
I feel like if you’re good at what you do and your not an a-hole, money will always come so why not pursue what you want? Worst case, as long as you leave on good terms you should always be able to go back to your old role or a similar one at some other firm!
If it’s a dream gig, I’d take it. No risk it, no biscuit.
Do it.
Confused how a dream gig like that could end up getting you to 7 figures? Pay is too low for entry level IB or MBB so what is it
Somewhat of an obscure role (at least for fishbowl crowd) in “the” firm for a specific sector within finance. After ~2 years pay would jump to ~250k and grow from there. It would be considered an exit op for people in IB/PE that are interested in this space, but because I do not have that background I would come in as an experienced associate with limited bonus potential rather than a senior associate making 50-100% bonus. Definitely a risk because I don’t know if I’ll be good at it and it’s more hours than my current gig, but the payoff is in the 7 figures eventually (~10-15 years down the line likely)
Dream gig because of personal interests/background from growing up / college.
EDIT: Also aware my fishbowl title says manager because that’s technically my title, but I have just over 2YOE, so not a heavy reset outside of comp
