Has anyone here transitioned from tech consulting to IB? If so, what was that like? What skills were transferrable? Did you get an MBA? What IB firms look for tech backgrounds, if any?

Anyone switched from Becker to Wiley and regretted it? I did and though I appreciate the bite-sized lectures, I don't enjoy it as much as Becker. My access for Becker expired already and I don't want to spend 2k again 😭 such a tough choice to make but I feel like I'm not getting what I need from Wiley.

I want to leave my captive company. I don’t think I am ready to be totally on my own even with a cluster group etc. There is an option to be subcontractor in another independent company. My brother completed his MBA from a good institute and am currently a CFA L2candidate (appeared from my exam in August 2022). He is working with Capgemini for an leasing investment bank client. He has approx 2.5 years of experience and is interested in roles like FP&A, Financial Modeling, Portfolio/risk management, valuations or fixed income. Would appreciate referral in Financial Services companies please.

I’m graduating in December, with a background in environmental economics and policy. Consulting didn’t work out this cycle. Made it to final rounds for Bain and Kearney but in the end didn’t get an offer. I want to recoup and try again, but I’m worried that once I’m out of undergrad the door will be closed to starting in consulting.

What can I do to make this happen? I have friends and connections at Bain and Kearney and the other firms as well, but not sure if it’s feasible now.

How do I start preparation for big companies like MAANG?
I want to know what learning path should I follow. I know about lots of resources but can't follow them randomly.
