Many #machinelearning algorithms, whether supervised or unsupervised, make use of distance measures.
Take k-NN for example, a technique often used for supervised learning. As a default, it often uses euclidean distance.
By itself, a great distance measure.
Knowing when to use which distance measure can help you go from a poor classifier to an accurate model.

That’s how I felt when someone told me comp was good and most of their comp was from referral
Lol did they start the offer with HEY GIRL!
I honestly got the same vibe when I interviewed, but I decided it couldn’t be worse than my last firm and took the jump. Super glad I did. My bonus was ~30k last year and is on track to be even higher this year. There are pros and cons, just like there are anywhere.
Correct lol. The owner was a senior manager in PA and decided to incentivize almost everything people dislike about it. I was making around 14k a year just on that as a senior in LCOL.

Do you get a voucher for “Two Dinner Entrees at Blank Angus” after the interview? FYI, my wife was pissed when she realized that was the “prize” I signed up for when I committed to the 3-hour time share pitch 😂 I’m so happy we are still married
Not to weird you out but I know I got a “prize” when I interviewed 😂😂😂
Haha it sounded too good to be true when I joined but it’s all legit and bonuses can come from other ways too like production, client incentive and travel

Hmmmmm…. Two Siegfried people with positive comments… seems like a cult
I mean if I didn’t like it I wouldn’t be working here. 😝
My year end bonus (paid quarterly) was 18k - 24%- the last year I worked there as a senior associate. There are a bunch of other incentives outside of the referral. But the referral is nice as well.
Whom can refer me to SG Chicago?
Just PMd you.
Did you interview with them? Had a few recruiters reach out about them, which felt sketchy.
Yes, I worked there.
These comments from folks that work there making me want to drink the kool aid too….
Depends on the client. You work industry hours with the team you’re on so if it’s month end or year end you work more. I’ve worked 65 hours some weeks and 45 hours others. Just depends. You also get paid production for your average hours per Quarter so you can get $$$ just for working more hours. Huge incentive and nothing wrong with being compensated for your hard work. Idk how getting paid for OT is a bad thing 😂
Don’t do it
My friend left to go work there and it’s not all it’s cracked up to be. Everyone is gung-ho to recommend it and refer bc they get bonuses for even getting people on the phone for an exploratory call. They are desperate for resources same as the B4. You also don’t get the trainings and investment in your growth as b4. Just feedback I’ve heard from my friend.
