Has anyone left EY FAAS due to not being able to pass the CPA exams for EY, PwC, Accenture consulting? I have one year left before my promotion to manager, and I'm really considering going into consulting. I have three children and other responsibilities.
Please help if you have been in this situation. These are roles I am planning on going. 1- ERP Financial Systems Consultant
2- Finance Transformation Consultant
3- Internal Audit & Compliance Consultant
4- IT Risk & Assurance Consultant

It's sad to see people with 2-3 years of experience getting paid more than you when u have double the experience. 😄 Best part is they are still complaining of getting less. Well I guess you should never settle. New gen is giving a hard time to the experienced folks. I think this is the high time to upgrade your skills. Come out of your comfort zone and start looking for new opportunities. I think this is the best time to switch if u haven't already in quite some time.

How often is it okay to switch organizations? I know this is entirely specific to a particular situation /circumstance but just wanted to know, how often should one change companies, without coming into scrutiny for the same?

My situation: after working with an organization for over 7 yrs, I've switched from the next one in 1.5 yrs and about to switch again after completing 1.2 yrs in my current org.
