I can speak to my experience under Win Fertility and it also obviously depends which health insurance plan you have. I had the high deductible HSA this year, with that coverage I ended up paying about $2K for all the appointments and egg retrieval procedure, $5K for stim meds (some of the ones they prescribed to me are off label and not FDA approved for fertility so I had to go out of pocket) and then if you elect to do PGT testing (chromosome) on the embryos, that’s almost never covered and depending on your clinic can be $3-$5k
So some considerable costs to plan for but still much less compared to paying fully out of pocket which can be $30K+
This is super helpful thanks so much!!
I just got an email saying the fertility provider is changing this year, going from WINfertility to Progyny (good name for a fertility company haha). So any past experiences probably won’t have much relevance, except maybe the costs stayed the same…?
Progyny is holding a webinar on Wednesday, Nov 6, at 2:00 p.m. EST. Register here: https://register.gotowebinar.com/register/885559201671321944
Also curious what costs were outside of what was covered. Everything is so opaque.
