Absolutely. There have been times of high stress that make me physically ill, but I try to manage it the best I can. It’s been a lifelong challenge

Yes
There are some years where I end up pulling a lot of overnights for work on call and it takes a toll
-Migraines
-brain fog
- malaise
I went through a period of such high stress it would affect my stomach etc. I think I burnt out so bad that I no longer have the energy.
Definitely! I had a tremor that I realized two years after it started that it was because of the stress from work (the boss). It's quite a challenge to deal with.
Yeah, this happened to me quite a bit at my last job. My manager thought that "work life balance" was "hippie nonsense." He prided himself on working until 10-11 PM, even on weekends and would make snide comments when we would try to push back. It was awful, and I'm sorry you're dealing with that kind of stress now. Have you thought about switching jobs?
That is insane. Glad you got out
I've worked at jobs that got really stressful and I felt like the stress was making me more vulnerable to being sick. It was like I was overtired all the time, and I was always catching colds and just feeling lousy. I'm convinced that if work really grinds on you it does have a definite impact on your health.
Yea I’m convinced too. This is exactly why I keep boundaries within reason
