Hi! I just accepted a Relationship Banker II role in Allen, TX. My offer letter was 50k base and 1k guaranteed commission a month first year. I just graduated w a degree in Business Administration. Basically the info I got on how commission works was pretty vague. Anyway I wanted to see what someone I’m their 1st or 2nd year can realistically expect to on average make in commission a year in this role. Also what do bonuses in the role look like? I’m hoping to just hear some ballpark numbers! JPMorgan Chase JPMorgan Chase

Don’t go.
I was just googling this, looking forward to declining my exit interview.
Tell me more!
you have nothing to gain, bridges to burn. be diplomatic.

Walk up to the biggest dude in the room and punch him in the face.
Sorry. My bad. I’m thinking of what to do on your first day at the new job.
Is your new job going to prison??
Burn it down
Idk why people are opting for diplomacy over honesty in an exit now is the time for you to help them improve in places they are obviously doing poorly. Share with Hr then no bridges are burned. let’s stop giving individuals so much power over our careers. If you have your next position secured be brutally honest.
Why would I want to work with people who have mistreated or not appreciate my work in the past and I couldn’t even speak to HR about their shortcomings. That’s exactly what I mean about giving people undeserved power. I don’t want any future opportunities with people who behave or are associated with people who can’t take feedback. A couple of toxic former coworkers can’t control my career especially if I already have my next gig lined up

Be honest with what you liked, didn’t like, and why you chose to leave.

don’t throw anyone on the bus.
be factual, don’t exaggerate. keep emotion out of it.
9 times out of 10, nothing changes as a result of what’s said. but 1 of 10 it does - especially if multiple people say the same thing.
Be honest. Share feedback with positive intent.
As someone who was brutally honest in an exit interview and then came back to the same agency a few years later, HR WILL ask you about it. For example, I said my manager was incapable of the empathy that was needed to do their job. When I was interviewing at the same agency years later, I was asked if that was going to be a problem for me if I were to work with them again. Just weigh what you want to say and remember that the industry is small—it could follow you.

@ACD1 — you’re confusing HR fearing a potential lawsuit w/ HR caring about OP or the employees who work under that manager.

be honest, without being a jerk.
unless someone was abusive, racist, sexist, etc you don't need to name names

I was with someone who took it from a golf course. Put HR on hold while he was in the tee box. Do that.
Approach it as though you want to work for this company again in 5 years. What have you enjoyed? What would need to change for you to want to come back?
I also find it helpful to spend some time thinking about the things I am most grateful for in the time I worked there. Sounds hokey, but it helps me enter an exit interview in a relatively positive mindset so I’m less likely to say something I regret.

Kill it with fire!
If you're going to name names, you need to have specific parts of the employee handbook and/or compliance that they violated. However, since accountability requires records, you might be SOL.
Though if they're insane enough to leave records...
Also unless you can prove malice, which is difficult, assume Dunning Kruger. It sucks because you can't fix stupid, but people are more often ignorant than evil.
Burn it to the ground

I declined the meeting and asked them to send me any paperwork they needed from me. Place before that I didn't even sign the paperwork.
