Picking this thread up again, Deloitte has a $50k reimbursement program for adoption and surrogacy. I’ve used it for surrogacy. It is for reimbursement of specific costs which include things like legal expenses, clinic cost, travel, agency fees, but exclude other costs such as payments to the surrogate. We maxed out the $50k on one child (bear in mind each surrogacy journey costs approx $120k-$180k ish, so the benefit is usually used up with one journey).
You have to have receipts or signed contracts to evidence you spent the money, and you can only claim for reimbursement after the baby is born and legally recognized as your child. Unsuccessful attempts (as hard as they may be) are not reimbursable.
Also you can’t use this program for overseas surrogacy.
Hey D6, quick question on this benefit. Do we need to work at Deloitte for at least one year in order to enjoy the benefit? Or we can enjoy the benefit since Day 1 joining the firm? Thanks!
What benefits?
Doesn’t it say oh have to show that you’ve tried to conceive naturally first?

Can you expand on what do you mean you had an offer?
A job offer.
EY has the same benefit for 50K surrogacy reimbursement. Not sure whether PwC has this.
I had two job offers and I ultimately chose Deloitte because of the benefits and that in particular, I’m looking more at adoption than surrogacy but yes it’s a great perk, think you must be here a year to get it though. Also it’s a one time benefit, or a cap. So it’s up to 50k in your time here to use towards it, you could have two rounds at 25k a pop though I assume
