Have any of you ever had a difficult relationship with the procurement specialists at your job? I am struggling to find common ground and a sense of respect for my counterpart, which is making the work environment and the work results a crap shoot. Desperately needing any advice, pep talk, or tough facts to help with this.

What’s your best advice for dealing with an insufferable manager? I’m being gaslit and micromanaged to wit’s end.

My annual perf discussion is monday morning. I work on a tough team for a tough place. I think Im a pretty good/almost high performer but only around 3 years and my boss seems to still act like I’m brand new (lifer boomer). I try to tell myself he has 6 direct reports and has to do this with everyone, Im no more or no less special - but I hate these convos and negative feedback even when most of it is unsurprising/fair feedback. Any tips? Just need to get through it! HR people are not immune!

Any Hr people out there..my wife is going through a harassment case against her boss. He is retaliating against her and other staff. On going for years. Most recently she had to take a leave of absence. There is a formal investigation into him. What is the timeline this should take ? And should he be allowed to have 1on1 talks with other staff members?. He is in damage control now trying to buy everyone lunch and doing his own PR tour. Month into investig doesn't seem like much has happend yet.

In an informal conversation, a senior HRBP, considered a peer, called 2 of our fellow HR colleagues “worthless.” I should have rebuked her then & there but was so caught off guard. Some PMs always catch my careless mistakes, and call me out hard. Now whenever I get an email from them I assume the worst and get anxious. The more I get anxious the more mistakes I make, and terrified this will lead to me for being “incompetent” and will get fired/passed up for promotions, then I mentally shut down at work and stop trying. Always been outspoken and an overachiever, now becoming shy awkward and quiet. I get panic attacks at work and feel trapped in my own body. Pls help!!

How do I be a decent manager to a coworker who's upset I've been promoted twice in two years and they haven't? So we escaped to kickbacks where a customer threw a drink at the waitress who subsequently pulled a 🔪

People say I'm weird, but it's always been my dream to become a truck driver just like my dad. It's not the most glamorous job out there, but it was enough for him an it's enough for me.
