Have offer from a financial services company. Amazing $, benefits etc. BUT they laid off a HUGE chunk of people (30% of company) early this year.... is this typically a cause for concern moving fwd?

If they laid off an operations group and you are in a front office role then I wouldn't be worried. But if they laid off operations and you are being hired for operations then I would be worried. But in FS u can easily get hired by another firm within a week.

How much $?

It's an internal consulting, in-house strategy type of roll. Is that considered front office? And they did make some cuts to this group 6 months ago, but are rehiring again....not sure what to make of that

They cut too many, so you're safe?

our company is expanding domestically in about 15 states in the US as well as internationally in EMEA and APAC. our biggest struggles right now are with all the different employment laws/compliance items + comp & benefits + what differs locally vs aligns globally. we are working with a PEO but still need support and expertise internally. what's the best way to structure the HR team in order to support this type of growth & expansion, especially in a short amount of time?

Considering a move to NTT Data in a healthcare consulting role. Mixed reviews in the bowls. Major concerns are bench policy, staff aug roles, 2 week PTO, and high turnover due to job dissatisfaction. Question regarding health insurance: I am going to be giving notice later this month and new insurance does not take effect until 1st if the month after 30 days of employment. So, I will most likely have a gap of one month with no insurance. Is that looked at as a bad thing in regards to insurance companies and what they will cover in the future? I really do not want to pay almost 2500 for a month of premiums when my family really does not go to the doctor frequently except for emergencies....

As someone with a background in the military, is it worth it to try to go back to the government as a tax analyst or senior tax analyst for the Dept of the Treasury? I'm wondering if I'll have an edge in getting hired as I've been at the GS-13 level before I left the military and I'm hoping I can use that time in service to add to a pension time requirement in the government.

Good morning!

I would love to get into provider credentialing, but all employers I've looked at want at least 3 years of experience. So, I'm looking at Provider Network Coordinator roles, because I'm finding some of those roles don't need AS MUCH experience. I'm a RHIT, and have been working in healthcare for nearly 10 years.

Anyone know who might be looking for a network coordinator?

Anyone else stuck in a job because they don't want to lose maternity benefits?

I'm actively looking to have children. Medical advice tells me not to put it off at all, it's now or potentially never.

I have been approached about new jobs, have found jobs that are perfect but they don't offer anything above the statutory mat payments unless you have been there for a year or two at least. As the main breadwinner stat payments would be devastating for us.

Anyone else stuck?
