Anyone from North Highland have a few minutes to connect and share your experience? Recruiters reached out on LinkedIn and I want to learn more about the company, culture, project and people. North Highland
How long should I stay at an “A-list” agency if I haven’t made anything worthwhile? It’s not for a lack of work ethic but a lack of luck with everything getting killed by client.
Deloitte offer says up to 31% AIP, but realistically, what % can I expect? Manager role.
Newly promoted experienced hire SC making $113k, 10 YOE (switched industries). Got an offer from TCS in an Advisory practice (not the tech sweatshop stuff that I keep seeing people mention). Base salary is $190k and in TCS equivalent of a M role. Downside to taking the salary hike and boomeranging back to D in ~2 years? FYI - I have 2 kids, so that kind of pay raise is kind of a big deal.
Hi everyone, I have a recruiting screening for a UX Design position at Capital One. Does anyone have any insight on how the screening will be or even just the work culture? Thanks so much in advance!
I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
Please help with your suggestions to this Depressed fish! 10 YOE and worked diligently with sub standard package relying on bosses alms without realised the exploitation until recently. But now I really want to make it big. So got some offers, but not those which I am looking for. Skillset is cutting edge cloud.cold applying on LinkedIn job openings aren't helping getting decent interview calls! Can you please show me some path? Or am I estimating myself beyond my capabilities! Really frustrated. SOS
Hey fishes, could you please tell me how many interview rounds are there in PwC SDC for a Manager position? Any insights would be helpful. Thanks in advance!
Got laid off a month ago after 1.5 years despite great snapshots and utilization. Was just offered a consulting position at a much smaller local firm for $5,000 less than what I was making before
Are there good exits in Australia other than big 4 banks? Market is so much smaller than US 😞
What kind of hours are you putting in on your current project? What's the industry? (E.g. Tech, in at 7:30AM, leave at 7PM, back online at 10PM)
Moving from PwC advisory to kpmg technology, knowing kpmg offers me a senior manager position and pwc doesn’t seem to get me there, even with amazing evaluations and super interesting roles offered, yey or nay?
Should I️ take a project in center city philly at a client I’m not really interested in? Or a project in middle of no where NJ with work that sort of interests me?
When you explain to your non-accounting friends what the Big 4 is and they say, "oh sounds like the Ivy League for accounting firms" >>>>
Joined consulting to get varied experience, but I keep getting extended at client but on different projects. Client is great and projects are cool, but I’d never wanna live on this coast—
I currently work for a large NFP, and the work is very boring and I’m considering going back into public accounting. I have 4 years of public accounting experience (2 years with a National Top 25 firm) and about 4 years of mostly NFP experience. Working on the CPA license now and plan to be done by December. Any tips for someone who left public and want to go back? Maybe Big 4?
Which Big 4 has the best benefits?
Has anyone left for a local firm and bounced back to top 10/big 4 or top 10? I've been interested in working at a local firm for some time, have an opportunity, but want the opportunity to get back to something larger if I learn I hate it.
I am awaiting my bar results and am working at the solo practitioner’s firm I was at all thru law school. My boss does strictly family law but has known since my first summer that my interest is personal injury, particularly med mal. Boss is allowing me (once licensed) to take PI cases and eventually med mal cases. I am essentially going to be building my own practice. I would appreciate any advice you might have for someone in my position. Thank you.
What the fuck is the point of telling me I’ve been advanced to the end round just to ghost me…. Not even a headhunter it’s fucking HR with the company. Idk the point of being in consulting/IB when you can’t even secure a decent exit opp
Marriott and SPG members can link their accounts, Match elite status, and transfer points 3-to-1!
I am am Asian woman. I started a discussion about how we could improve our diversity and inclusion efforts on my UX team. I offered a possible solution. Out of a team of 14, only 4 responded, 2 female in support, 2 male with lukewarm and hostile responses. The silence is deafening from the rest of the team (all male). I don't want to be here anymore. I attribute this to being in Utah, majority white. Is it like this everywhere? Or if I change jobs, will it be better?
Thoughts needed on: using calendly for companies who want to interview me. I HATE finding/providing times for them 🤣. I created my own account and will send that link out when they hit me with the “can you please provide times that work?”
Which one of you Accenture folk are on this project? With a bill rate like that it's gotta be ACN India. Spill the beans or I'll tag you in my group chat. "Facebook pays contractors $16.50 per hour, hired by consulting firm Accenture, to read your ‘encrypted’ WhatsApp messages, shares info with prosecutors" https://www.rt.com/news/534257-facebook-whatsapp-moderators-read-messages/

First time doing a transfer on H1B. Got the approval notice from the prospective firm and signed their offer letter. Planning to resign tomorrow and provide a two weeks notice. Am I (CONTINUED)
I’m struggling to transition out of consulting. Is a PMP worth it and would that improve my chances? Trying to just get a normal project management role for stable hours that still pays decent. At this point fine with a minor pay cut just burnt out. TIA
Interviewing for MBB...how do I spin my tech implementation experience to strategy consulting?
How hard is it to transition from medical device (e.g., neuromodulation) to pharma/biotech?
senior in audit - received offer from GT for manager position, and went to talk to my partners (im in big 4) partners matched salary and offered manager (i was supposed to make mgr next yr). (cont'd)
I'm looking at applying for a job with a company that is apparently an audit client. I'm in international tax but wasn't really aware that the application would ask me if I was employed by the company's auditor in the past 3 years and if I have a financial or business relationship or affiliation with the Company’s outside audit firm or its members (partners, managers). I think the answer is yes to both. Will this cause an issue with my application?
Quick vent: I really hate when people aren’t inclusive! I invite my roommate out all the time with my friends and we have a great time. I haven’t received a single invite back. She definitely has more friends than I do in the area so it would help me out a lot to be invited & included to form a friend group. I even tried to invite myself and still no inclusion. Ugh.
Hi folks - Any recommendations for a good immigration lawyer? Looking for some guidance on my wife’s OPT/H4/EAD
Would you go work for a private company that offers a lot of growth opportunities, high salary and 40-45 hour work weeks, but doesn’t allow WFH and is pretty strict on the 8-5?
Hi there! I’m curious if anyone has tips for approaching a case interview or a framework to follow for a consulting internship?
I’m currently in Deloittes RFA practice and have been trying to transition to a DC role within the Workday HCM or Financials portfolio but not making any headway. I have significant hands on experience with HCM and FINS from a controls standpoint as well as functional implementation experience with ERPs. Suggestions? Time to start looking elsewhere? DM?
