Have offers from Firm A (5k employees 1B revenue) & Firm B (2k employees 200M revenue) to come in as a senior manager and create/build a new, niche tax practice similar to what I played a pivotal role in building at a B4. My biggest issue at B4 has been the big firm BS (hard to get things approved, slow moving, high performers not rewarded appropriately). What’s the right balance between the resources/client base of a larger firm and the autonomy/pay of a smaller firm? How small is too small?

Both interviews went well, and I was told the recruiters will submit my resume to the partners and senior managers for the next interviews. 3 weeks later, I received the rejection letters without the next interview. This track usually leads to director of revenue. Offer 2 - internal audit staff so SOX and compliance projects.
