Been there. Had to change accounts because she was so condescending. She def had imposter syndrome and was trying to put down everyone on her team to make herself look smarter (unsuccessfully). If they don’t go into it with more of a collaborative attitude, it can be a disaster.
I’m in this position right now. She is above me, but not my manager, although someone needs to remind her. I was told it was an opportunity to “manage up”. I chose to start looking for a new agency.

Been in this situation twice. Get out asap. I convinced myself to rough through it and I have the mental wounds to prove it 😅
It is a little disappointing when some wunderkind shows up with a degree from the CEO's alma mater and spends half the day asking you for advice on how to do his job. Unfortunately, that's the way of the world. Smile, be helpful, and try to find time to do your job while your doing his.
Currently going through the same thing.... Imposter Syndrome for sure.
In my previous role. My new manager knew nothing of my job yet was micromanaging me. All she did was improve a process for the equivalent of my team in another country but things work differently in mine and she had zero knowledge of h errera ding of it. I left.
I’m currently in this position. Supe keeps dropping the ball. Wonder if their higher ups are catching wind or ignoring it. Sometimes it feels like they try to place the blame on the supe’s subordinates.
Absolutely! I was hired at a lower level cause it had been some time since I was in an agency. I thought that might mean a faster promotion but was wrong. I’ve got five years experience on my manager and it shows. I find myself having to mange them and don’t get the career development that I need. But what am I gonna do?
Keep cashing those checks I guess? Good luck with your situation, i bet your team notices the same thing
