Have you guys ever encountered working with pharmacists that are more experienced(aka more years of experience on the job) that don't do their fair share of work. I'm glad that I get good feedback for my strong work ethics, but on most days I just want these people do do their fair share of work. There is no reason why I should have to do the bulk of the work, while the person standing right next to me makes significantly more without any repercussions

Just came back today to the office from a 3 day bereavement leave. Performance reviews were apparently done Tuesday. Senior partner who does the reviews left out of town Wednesday. Concerning?

How do you deal with a manager who expects 3 months of work overnight? I have tried structuring , creating a plan to show him how the activities are being executed. However, he seems to be someone who turns around every other hour to ask ‘Is it done’? I am usually pretty good at managing expectations but having a hard time conveying how unreasonable he is being. Despite being organized, I am coming across as scattered and jumbled since I have been working 15+ hours with no food and break daily

I work for a specialized group in my litigation group and have had a wonderful experience and really respect and appreciate my boss, the co-chair of this specialized group. I’ve now accepted the opportunity to take over my parents business and plan to leave practice this summer. How do I even start this conversation with him? I’m sure I care a lot more than the group does, but I feel like because he went out of his way to really mentor and bring me into his group, i feel bad.

Is it okay for reporting manager to already inform my colleagues 1 month before that i have decided to leave the organisation.
I mean this is a very critical information and normally managers only inform when person has 2 weeks left to leave

Is it common for a midlevel to gossip with a first year about another first year’s work? Is it common for midlevels to trash juniors amongst themselves? I think my office is hella toxic

My boss (atty) is so disorganized! I’ve been with him 6 months and he’s having a hard time delegating, sharing info and managing deadlines. I’ve organized the caseload to manage the deadlines. He says he wants me to help with discovery but when I offer to start on one, he says he needs to do it. (Since he might have to present as evidence) When I give him deadlines and ask for the docs he says he’ll get to it. It’s a small 1 man firm, and I’m the first assistant besides his wife. Any advice?

Do I work at a toxic workplace?

We had a team touchbase where we as a group were asked our concerns regarding year end. I raised my concerns about staffing/expectations (the team is 75% new) since last year was demanding with us being up to 1 AM the day before deadline.

My director was on the call but not my VP. My VP reached out today and said he doesn’t appreciate hearing such comments on the grapevine but I was confused b/c all i did was answer the question I was asked.

For freelancer that work with multiple clients at once. Do you have any tools to manage calendars across different emails? Ideally, when I get a meeting invite from one client it would block my availability on my other accounts.

My natural instinct is to assume rejection if I have conflict with a partner or don’t think my feelings are reciprocated. I’ll try to bring it up with them, but I’ll say “if you want to end this feel free” so it doesn’t hurt me (and they can say what they really mean instead of sugarcoating). Someone told me today that they just assume I’m not interested because I always seem to “run” but I’m not sure how to bring up problems/feelings otherwise. How do you approach these hard questions?

What's the biggest health myth you've heard that you'd like to bust? Mine is that supplements are always a healthier option than prescription or OTC meds. A lot of the supplements on the shelf contain all types of unnatural ingredients and can still be harmful depending on the dosage.

Recently graduated from pharmacy school and seeking jobs.
Walgreens offered 50K sign on bonus and I asked for 10K extra to accept offer and move to another city for 2 years. They accepted my request.
Starting pay is $55.05/hr though. From your experience, is this a good offer? Is it worth taking?

a few weeks ago we had a super busy day with scripts and i think i went into ‘autopilot’ because i don’t remember it happening, but i handed out the wrong prescription to someone (before you get mad, i only started a few weeks ago and i’m a junior assistant), out of all people i could’ve given the wrong medication to, it was a blind person. i have severe anxiety already and want to know some tactics to go back to work without guilt? i take guilt very heavy and struggle to get past it all

My temp contract has been extended. I’m relieved to be able to pay the bills, but after giving 70-80 shots a day, I literally dream about giving vaccines almost every night! Struggling to keep positive about finding a new permanent job - I was laid off at the end of April, have applied to over 60 jobs, had 6 interviews, and no offers. I can’t go back to chain retail - it damn near broke me in my 20’s, and it’s much worse now.

Is starting salary of 70k good in retail, or am I being lowballed? MCOL city and have a couple of years of experience. I feel like this is low? What should I do?
