Want to say thank you to all the 🐠 in this bowl who have shared their comp info! Signed an offer this morning with a package I fought hard for based on the info in this bowl and a few others related to consulting. As a woman I’m frequently low-balled and this bowl gave me the confidence (and info) to stick to my initial ask and get what I wanted in the end.
Thanks again and good luck to all of you!
We are moving from Europe to the US and the company is fairly open to building an expat package, with initial suggestions (relocation costs, rent expense, flights home, adj salary) reasonably generous. Healthcare in there too, but not yet clear on what this entails in the US.
Any advice on what else we should think about asking for or negotiating?
Do you prefer high base comp or RSU?
Staying at Disney Grand Californian for Ascend. The hotel sent 7ppl (6m1f) broke in at 1am saying this room should be empty without knocking the door. As EY already/will reimburse all the stay, what kind of compensation is reasonable? Such a scary life experience as a minor.
What if someone resigns after declaration of bonus but is not on payroll at the time of disbursement, can he/she expect it in FnF settlement?
Just received an offer for a PMM role with Meta and would love some perspective on what I could potentially negotiate. Below are the comp details:
- Base: $160k (slightly under the low end of the range I provided them, but I live in MCOL city and this is still almost a 30% bump from my current role)
- Equity: $85k
- TC: ~$200k
- Currently in brand management, switching to product marketing
- MBA grad (T-15)
- Remote role based out of current location
Thanks in advance!
Currently working in corporate (my degree is in Higher Ed / Student affairs) and I’m trying to transition back to the Student affairs field. Only make about 70k in my current corporate job but potential for growth- is there anyone working with students RN who makes 80-100k? My current job feels really soulless but I help support my parents and can’t sacrifice salary for meaningful work…

A big tech firm is massively low balling me on comp. If I take the offer now, how soon can I leave the firm if I get another offer?
I currently got a job as a warehouse (operations) supervisor out of college, TC~$77,500. How likely is it for a company to hire me as a operations consultant after staying with this company for 2 years? Would salary as an operations consultant TC push me well over $100,000? Thank you.
Is it normal for references to be checked before an offer is made or comp package is agreed upon? How much pushback can I really give at this point?
My concern is that we haven't aligned on a comp package (base, bonus, etc.) so checking references before that, is a potential time waste for my references.

Started onboarding for a gig assignment 2 weeks ago that I voluntarily accepted. After getting a taste of the new work + performing my full-time responsibilities, I’ve decided to meet with the gig manager tomorrow to let her know I don’t want to continue. I’ve been feeling burnout and mentally capped because of COVID fatigue and WFH. Feeling anxious about sharing my decision and need advice on how to approach the conversation. Thanks!

How do I build my confidence around a particular type of tech bro? I just started a new job and I have to work with a dude who’s been there a few years. I’m trying to integrate our projects at my bosses request but every time I’m on a call with him he does that tech bro thing of talking really fast and using jargon. I am not confident in these situations and tend to not speak up on calls. I feel drained afterwards. He’s never outright rude but I get a condescending vibe from him.

How much should I be making? I’ve been in corp. USA for 7 years, have an MBA, and multiple certs, but no clue how much I’m worth. Like many, I short-sale myself, and I feel it hurts my earnings. Is there a way to gain some transparency?
I accepted a Director role with a start up recruitment firm in August 2020. As expected my salary was way beneath where I had been prior to C19. Now the company is doing above budget in all markets. I am the most senior leader left in the company outside of owners- I asked for an increase and was met with no response. Thoughts?

I was offered 92k and negotiated to 98k to sign. I was given the most turbulent of all portfolios (after a previous SM and a Coach didn’t work out). Once I started, I put together that all my peers (with less complex products and smaller teams) were making between 100-115k.

Looking for some insight. I have almost 20 years experience in professional setting, 15 years progressive people leader positions in Contact center type operations. I decided to make a career change, focusing more on the talent acquisition experience I have. I took a recruiter role…and pretty big pay cut 6 months ago. What type of salary should I be expecting with the years of experience I do have, although not specifically in a TA role?
How on earth do you even approach talking about sign on bonuses? I started w Citi over 5 years ago. When I asked about this the recruiter was so offended. “I’ve never heard of someone getting a signing bonus,” which I call BS on. She was probably w Citi for over 25+ years. I’m leaving for JP Morgan for more money. Go into negotiations tomorrow. Role is VP Project Management in Tampa. Just want to be prepared as possible.
