I have 4 years of exp and I’m good at technical skills. I feel I should have appeared for an L5 level, but I haven’t seen any active hiring at that level for BR Analyst.

What’s the best way to get promoted within a year? How does the promotion cycle works at Amazon?

Just finished my first year in audit. Recruiter reached out to me for a role with a 30% bump in salary. Total comp included it gets closer to 45%. I actually enjoyed my first year and especially being done with busy season now feeling pretty good. I am currently seeking a role in Healthcare Policy Leadership in the DC Market, my experience has been in in the intersection of Healthcare & Social Services in both the Private and NonProfit sector. I have a BA in Forensic Psych, an MPA, an MPhil in Public Policy and currently in the last leg of my PH.D in Public Policy with a specialization in Health Policy.

I would appreciate any advice anyone could give that might point me in the direction of any open roles.

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
