How difficult would it be for a well-credentialed US lawyer (approx 7 YOE) to qualify and practice in Toronto? I’m a Canadian (from AB) who went to law school in the US (top 3 school), practiced for 4 years at a strong Wall St firm, and now has been in-house as a corporate generalist for a couple years. I want to move back to Canada permanently, and have just kicked off the NCA process, but will I have any realistic prospects of having a successful legal career, or am I too far along?

Would it be best for me to accept an offer in Forensics at a much smaller firm (local, 150ish total employees) to gain experience and then try to move to B4 Forensics? What is your typical total time “working” vs. time billed? I think I must be doing something wrong, because I’m having 12 hour days but only billing 7-8 hours/day. I can’t block bill so I lose a lot of time switching between tasks and reading random emails and don’t want to put down a million .1s for reading emails, but still seems weird to be losing so much time. I’ll take quick breaks throughout the day but nothing I’d expect to total more than hour. At a loss here.

Why would a luxury watch brand make/sell connected or smart watches? What is the business reason for it? To me it just kills the brand value. For instance I was a big fan of Montblanc but after I see their smart watch line up I instantly devalued the brand in general. Same for Tag (tag is questionable anyways), or Breitling.
