Bain & Company Hello! I’m a c/o 24 undergrad who wants to intern MBB next summer. I noticed there are different deadlines for each firm- ex) one in July, August, and September. Does it matter when I apply? Recruiters will say it doesn’t and to just apply when you’re ready, but I’m wondering if there’s any advantage in applying earlier (kind of like the difference between early and regular decision for college admissions). Thanks!

Hi Fishes,
I recently got an offer for Cyber security advisory at PwC India . They gave a 20% hike on the current amount. Thing is that l, the technical interview told me that it is not a software/coding type of position and asked me multiple times if I was interested to do that. Is that a red flag?

For Bain, nope! The first round tends to draw those with exploding offers, hence the early date. We didn’t use to have a formal process for those folks so tried to streamline more by adding that July deadline. I’d just apply when you’re ready.
We only have so many slots. Yes we keep some for each round but some extra can also go to earlier rounds if enough good candidates
Heard ppl saying there isn’t a big different but should go with the early ones if you feel ready
Echoing Bain 1. We couldn’t care less which round you apply. Only reason we have the rounds before September is because we have to follow the banks and McK/BCG
