Could someone share how project allocations work at ZS for someone joining as an Associate Consultant (Java Full Stack)?

I interviewed primarily on Java and React, but I’m unsure how projects are typically aligned at ZS. Do they usually assign you to projects based on the tech stack you were interviewed for, or is it possible to be mapped to completely different domains or technologies as well?

Would really appreciate any insights from people who have gone through this.

Made a career pivot to another agency. During the interview we talked about how it may start as initially a "step backwards" (pay/benefits) but has potential for more long term growth. First day was yesterday. Had no communication about when or where to show up, sat in an empty office for about half an hour before a couple people finally showed. No phone call or email. Throughout my career, I have worked at both “traditional” and “digital” shops. My current agency would fall under traditional but also offers digital services. Our process, roles and skillsets seem way outdated but I wasn’t sure if it was just my opinion or if this is just how it works. For example, we have no CTO or tech leads. Our digital producers feel more like project managers than actual producers. Account Management is just traditional, no real digital knowledge. Feels layered and dated.
