Hey Glassdoor Tech bowl, does anyone here work for a company that offers pet insurance benefits or cool benefits for pet parents? At this rate, having an actual child is out of the budget, maybe a pet will soothe this baby fever.

I work at a company that offers a discount on pet insurance, but we’ve had our own insurance for awhile and it was cheaper to just stay on our existing plan

Kids don't get expensive until their eating ramps up in their teens. Don't forgo one of the most rewarding blessings life has to offer because it doesn't make sense on a spreadsheet. Trust me, you will never be financially ready, yet parents seem to make it work. Priorities shift and the budget just works itself out.

Perhaps I am biased, we have 2 kids, 4 cats, and no pet insurance. Oh and for the record, I was not making IBM money until well after the second child was born.

Hi,
CCTC including all benefits is 16.57 with 8.3 YOE, primarily focused on Manual Testing.
Is it worth looking for another opportunity?
I am afraid after seeing layoffs news of EPAM, Publicis Sapient & most of the other companies calling employees in the office.
I love my WFH in PwC India & base location of Kolkata. & the best thing is stability in PwC India, they never lay off!!

I'm a US citizen living abroad I applied almost 11 months ago for my spouse. Married for years, kid. I wait and wait. It seems this will take 2 years, maybe more. I feel trapped. On one side the US system demands I work and domicile in US, the other side says families should be prioritized to stay together. My spouse has had enough of the process. I feel trapped abroad and locked in a dysfunctional system. We're just in limbo, it's depressing

I'm not sure how Fish Bowl works, but hi! I was wondering, is it just me, or sometimes insurance companies require so much from the families we work with? I have a kiddo who is required to do early start for minimum 9 hours a week to be eligible for services. Then they are recommended 25 hours of services per week.. I feel the parents are starting to get concerned due to the amount of hours the kiddo working. Basically almost a full-time job for a kid who's barely 2... thoughts?

I’m in an interesting dilemma. Very interested in leaving my company, but I am also going through IVF. I know most new jobs require a year wait before you can go on maternity leave. Does anyone know a great company to work for that does not require this? Obviously, I’m getting a bit ahead of myself, but if this works, I don’t want to accept a job and not be paid for maternity leave because I am doing this solo. Appreciate all the help!
