The agency and account you are on is more important than the holding company.
High turnover. Very siloed departments. Can get extremely political
I’ve worked at an Omnicom agency on 2 separate occasions. The most toxic two jobs I’ve ever had. It’s a sink or swim type of environment. You have to be super on top of your game and show your competency very early on. As of this past summer, I met with a director at Beauty Co-Lab who informed me of how toxic the environment is. Team members throwing others under the bus, including senior management, team members having to dedicate time to create documentation (receipts) to cover their asses in case someone does turn on them. I’d say avoid this account if you can, but more importantly ask yourself if you truly want to get into media
I second this!! L’Oreal is toxic inside and unfortunately the way senior leadership treats our agency partners is also toxic. Gaslighting all around!
Which account? It’s a very large organization so your experience and satisfaction there can really vary
It really depends on your account leadership. If you have toxic leadership, you’ll probably leave in a year for your next role
Incredible resources. Top notch leadership. Has challenges as all other HoldCo. owned agencies, but has proven, at least while I was there (for 15 years) to be a good place.
John is that you? 😂
OMG is great. Ripe with opportunities. Avoid L’oréal at all costs if you are not junior. It is as toxic as they come and a complete waste of your time at mid and senior levels. At Junior levels, you won’t need to deal with the politics as much so there is plenty to learn.
Depends on the team you’re on. I assume L’Oreal is going to be fast paced than other accounts due to the beauty industry demands.
I absolutely love OMG! Such an incredible group of people. Amazing culture!!! Great place to build a career
