Nopes..whatever roles available require a full time deployment at client site that too outside my city (mumbai!!)
I am ex KPMG and my experience was good but I had a great boss . If the partner supports then any exception is possible . Identify what could be roles or areas that would allow you to get back and which may be a problem. Have a conversation or many .... don’t lose heart

I found an internal rotating role and set the start date exactly to the date of my return. It’s for 1 year and I’m glad the firm supported this long. Can’t complain but in the long run there should be policies for new and young moms (by young I mean until the kid attains a certain age) at which point we would be secure to send them to school etc. and focus on career purely (if there’s such a thing, I know it is for men)
Thnx for sharing your experience... KPMG has great flexible working policies for new mom's! But when it comes to execute them..there's some or the other excuse or maybe I dont know 'situation' that you cannot avail it!!
In that regard TCS is the best,. Whether you are on maternity or yet to or post that, you can chill out with out work. Company will never fire you.. I see many women who disappeared for an year or two citing maternity vacation
