I’ll likely need to leave my current associate EP attorney position at a small firm in CA to move to WA (Seattle area) due to my spouse’s new dream job. Nervous about the transition to new state’s law, plus the job search. Wondering if I should broaden my search to other areas of law. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I’m trying to move up in my career but struggling due to lack of mentorship//training (staff shortage, everyone is busy) I’m rarely taken on construction sites, and if I am It’s because I pushed for it. Recently obtained my aPHR and I’m considering next steps in advancing my career. I am eligible to sit for the SHRM-CP presently and will not be able to sit for a PHR until 09/2023. Any pros/cons with either certification? Should I wait to sit for PHR or go for SHRM-CP now?

I just want a change of scenery because my current firm is bleeding good associates / not giving great training imo / and just seems small. Would lateralling this early feasible?
